Ever since I discovered the wonders of Steam-a-Seam, I haven't stopped making pillows. It's on the brink of getting out of hand. I feel like I am in the Sixth Sense. But, instead of seeing dead people, I see pillows.
I started off with a Pottery Barn rip-off.

Then, I used some burlap to make a pillow inspired by this one from Petit Coterie:

Lastly, I'll leave you with this jumbo blue and white striped seersucker pillow. It feels so nautical and will be perfect in our family room.
There are a couple more I made, but I am still working out the kinks. I hope to have some more pics up soon, though! I'm linking this post on Cottage Instincts...check it out to see all the other DIY projects!
I love pillows and you did great making yours.. Congrats on a job well done.

All of these are gorgeous! I think I like the burlap & one best. Is steam a seem like heat-n-bond?
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteJessi: I guess it would be like heat and bond (I've never used that before). Steam-a-Seam makes a hard to rip seam! I was surprised. It didn't work as well on the burlap, but worked great on the other fabrics I've tried.
Hello! I stumbled onto your blog today! so cute! Your pillows look great! My husband got me a sewing machine for Christmas because I had these high hopes of making wonderful pillows (like yours) and cute tote bags...and have I taken the darn thing out of the box yet..nope! You have given me motivation though! :)
